Opera's latest functionality allows you to organize, pin, and shut tabs with natural language commands

Opera has introduced a new AI-driven feature in its browser that allows users to manage tabs using natural language commands. With this feature, users can perform actions like grouping, pinning, bookmarking, or closing tabs through simple instructions.

To use this function, you can bring up the Aria command bar by pressing Ctrl + / (or Cmd + / on Mac) and typing commands like "Group all video tabs" or "Bookmark all open tabs." Opera clarified that these commands are processed locally on the user's device, meaning no data is sent externally.

You can also issue commands related to specific websites or categories, such as "Close my YouTube tabs" or "Group all my shopping tabs."

This feature is especially helpful for users who tend to keep multiple tabs open, such as a mix of work, entertainment, and personal browsing. While it may not reduce the number of tabs, it helps to organize them more effectively.

Additionally, the feature can be accessed by right-clicking a tab when there are more than five tabs open.

Opera is releasing this feature through its AI feature drop program in the developer version of the browser, with hopes that it will soon be available in the general release. This follows Opera's previous release of "Tab Islands" in Opera One, which automatically groups tabs based on context. Unlike typical AI assistants that summarize content, Opera's new feature focuses on making browser navigation easier through AI.
